So my dad asked a few questions about the area and I figured I'd rather just copy and paste than write a whole new email haha:
The people are super diverse. There's loads of Indians, African, West Indies, Spanish people. It's really cool to see so much culture. Some people are friendly and will have a chat, it's hit and miss really. They'll either just keep walking or they'll chat for ages. A lot of people don't talk to others and so sometimes when someone shows they're willing to talk they'll talk for as long as you'll let them haha. We usually take the tubes, trains, and buses. It's good to find people in that way as well because they'll sit and talk til they have to go.
The food is as diverse as the people! We have had sheperds pie which I absolutely love :) I hate mince pies... I think most people either hate or love those.. No blood pudding, that's disgusting. And the scriptures say no ;) But I did try to eat sheep intestine and I almost threw up. They eat a lot of chicken here, there are these places called cheap chicken and it costs next to nothing for some chicken and chips. Super good too. It's like a rubbish KFC and it's on every street. It's even more common than fish and chips!
Englands national dish is curry apparently and that's always nice to have. The members always make good food, different things and such. And hey, there's always Pizza Hut!!
The district I'm in is composed of 5 companionships. I'm in a four man flat with the district leader and then there's another four man flat with the zone leaders and then the other 2 practically have a house to themselves! We have 3 of the companionships in our ward and the other 2 are in another.
On a normal day we'll go stop by less actives or potentials and stop people all along the way. It's not rare to never get where we're going because there's loads of people on the street. But sometimes we see everyone and it's all good.
Hopefully that tells you a bit about missionary work in the Stratford area! It's fun, and on a p-day sometimes we go into the massive Westfields and look at a ton of stuff we can't buy haha
So that's how it is! It's a great area.
