So I'll be staying here! Moves calls yesterday and I'm staying with Elder Caluag! I'll be here for 6 months! Don't think I'll stay longer than that.. But we'll see! And Elder Caluag is a great missionary and we are hilarious haha. Otherwise we've been doing great! We've gotten to have two work overs this past week and it was fantastic! One with our zone leaders and one with our new district leader. They're both really good leaders and helped me think about some things I need to do. When I was with our district leader, Elder Kgwetiane, we realized-- we're the oldest in the district!! On our missions anyhow. Us and our companions are all the same group and since our old DL left, we're the oldest! Weird feeling... But it's really cool. The mission life moves really fast. On Tuesday night our ZL and I got to have splits with the members. It was such a good experience! Back story; So I have gone to every single person on the ward list. Most, even twice. And I've met just about every one. A lot weren't interested but some were promising. One was very not interested and almost just shut the door in my face. So when we went on splits I went with the bishop and learned we were going to that exact same one who did that. When we knocked the bishop was great. He had met him in passing before and we were able to get in and started having a great conversation with him! We got to get to know him and even though he wasn't interested in returning at the moment to church, bishop still helped him understand that eventually he would come to a point where he would. And he agreed. It was a really good evening and we got to see twice the people than normal! Working with members is the only way missionary work becomes successful. A lot of English people just aren't interested. The members know that.. But when the members introduce the missionaries, the real questions come out of their friends. That's the only real way it works! United in purpose. Great experience I'll be taking wherever I go and using it even when I go home.
